I hope everyone has a safe and nurturing Chritsmas and if you find yourself deprived
of these that I send you my warm wishes and hope that goodness will find you at this time.

For some of us Christmas is a time of retrospect when understanding the true nature of
Christmas... I tell my children it's Jesus's Birthday that everyone celebrates every year forever
I'm atheist and many here on DA are not Christians so Christmas can be a mildly awkward time for
some as a result and the increasing commercialism of Christmas makes it even more so every year!
Almost sickening to observe sometimes... But what I can say with all honesty, is even though
a majority of people (especially children) might overlook the traditional/religious origins of Christmas,
what has emerged (Christians or not) is the desire to be with family and friends and
to find comfort and bring comfort and happiness to others which I think is a darn good thing
the celebrate! And I'm sure "baby Jesus" would be happy about that too

So I hope wherever you are in the world during the holiday break that it brings you comfort and
happiness with your friends and family and that the new year brings you peace.
